If winners are grinners, then we are a sad and sorry bunch at Aldinga. Following the announcement of the Children's Book of the Year Awards many groans of disappointment and exclamations of "What the ...?!" were heard around the workroom.
Doodledum dancing, waltzed nowhere
Ella Kazoo, may as well not had hair
the Foundling, is forever lost

Author, sports lover and engaging storyteller. Mrs Ross' and Miss Welch's classes were guffawing at the antics of Michael's football prowess and modified sports and games. Crab soccer? Must be a game for nippers.
We were treated to an unpublished story based around the Undys. A story that involved a toddler, a loaded nappy and a foot race. It was gross, disgusting, disturbing, putrid, a real stinker ... and an absolute winner.
Anyone who shares stories about frisbeeing nappies, self-gratuitous football commentary and conducts a game of corridor cricket in a library is a genius. See much more of Michael's work at his webpage: http://www.michaelwagner.com.au
Thanks for sharing your stories with us, Michael. You're a champion!
