  • there are different activity sheets each week - available in the libraries and online
  • write and read book reviews online
  • receive 10 points per item borrowed - double points on Fridays!

Points? Points are for the special auction held after the school holidays. Points will be used to bid for items in the auction. There are lucky dips for children under the age of 5. The auction will be at the Arts Centre, Port Noarlunga on Sunday 28 February 2010 from 12 noon.

Libraries that deliver

Houston Public Library delivers to your door .... well, your car door. This initiative is a result of "parking challenged" libraries.

Library patrons are able to reserve items via an on-line catalogue and are then notified when they are ready for collection. Here's the twist, patrons call the library and provide a description of their cars and their borrower details. Staff collect the requested items and deliver to the patron waiting in their car.

No, fries are not part of the service. Full story here.
